Statement from Marionneaux Kantrow, LLC on COVID-19
March 16, 2020
The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has resulted in the issuance of emergency declarations both nationally and in the state of Louisiana. The first priority in this unprecedented pandemic is to protect the health and well-being of our families and to prevent the spread of illness. In doing so, businesses and business people will inevitably face uncertainty and may suffer impacts from prolonged efforts to limit exposure, whether by personal choice and/or government mandate. At Marionneaux Kantrow, LLC, while we will deal with those similar uncertainties, we are making best efforts to be available for all of our clients who may need legal help or assistance. We are presently and will continue to closely monitor all federal and state programs and actions which may affect or be available to assist our clients. Please also be aware that contracts, master service agreements, and insurance contracts may contain provisions regarding Force Majeure provisions, relating to unexpected and disruptive occurances, which may or may not impact obligations of the parties during this event. The legal effect of such provisions, which can vary significantly, may provide substantial protections or consequences to a party. On many occasions, these provisions may be unclear and may require a legal analysis to determine the meaning and the rights of each party under a contract. Please contact us if you need help with these or any other issues in this difficult time. Please feel free to contact us at our mobile numbers or email addresses, as follows:
