Notice Regarding Closures and Limited Access to Louisiana Courts?

Following Governor Edwards’ Proclamation Number 33 JBE 2020 (“Stay at Home Order”) of March 22, 2020, courts throughout Louisiana have issued closure and limited access notices which will be in effect until Monday, April 13, 2020.  However, Louisiana district courts continue to allow access for emergency and time sensitive matters to be handled and held by teleconference, video teleconferencing, and/or other means.  Additionally, Louisiana clerks of court continue to allow for emergency filings in some form and capacity.  The availability and rules for emergency and time sensitive filings and actions before the courts vary by judicial district and parish.  The attorneys at Marionneaux Kantrow, LLC are available to assist with preparing filings and pursuing action if you have an urgent, emergency legal issue that may require action during the timeframe of the Stay at Home Order.  If you have an issue you would like for us to consider, please contact us, as follows:
